Therapy for women who are ready to retire their “good responsible daughter” identity.
You’ve been the good responsible daughter for too long and it’s time to hang up the hat, girl.
You’re ready to finally feel safe to be yourself.
Virtual Mental Health Practice For Millennial & Gen-Z Women in New York & Virginia
You’re not aware of it yet,
but you’re already starting to heal.
Just by being here, you’ve broken the cycle. You’ve paused to ask, ‘Is there a better way?’ That spark of curiosity is the strongest tool we have.
Let’s turn that curiosity into confidence, together.
Curiosity, Not Criticism
We swap the harsh judgment for gentle questions.
Instead of asking “What’s wrong with me?”, we explore “I wonder why…” to help you understand your story without the shame.
A Space to Be Unfiltered
You don’t have to perform here.
Drop the “I’m fine” mask and bring your anxiety, your humor, and your messy thoughts. We validate the whole you—not just the polished parts.
Boundaries Without the Guilt
You’ve spent enough time pleasing everyone else.
We’ll work together to help you reclaim your voice, protect your peace, and finally trust your own “no.”
Let’s navigate this together.
Client Appreciation
“I finally stopped setting myself on fire to keep everyone else warm.”
Before working with Liv, I thought setting boundaries made me a ‘bad’ daughter. Liv helped me unlearn the guilt I’ve carried since childhood. For the first time, I’m making decisions based on what I want, not what I think will keep the peace. I finally feel like the main character in my own life.

(50+ minute Virtual Therapy)
A consistent & dedicated time to release the tension in your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and begin to untangle the guilt & anxiety stuck in your mind & body. This one-to-one time is for honest conversation and deep curiosity as I guide you to help you navigate your story.

Hi, I’m Liv!
I’ve been there, too.
If you spent your childhood managing big emotions that weren’t yours to carry, it’s no wonder you’re exhausted. You learned to be the ‘good one,’ but you lost the space to just be you.
Liv Curiously Therapy is dedicated to helping you unlearn those old roles. We’ll move past the people-pleasing and the panic, replacing them with self-trust and curiosity. It’s time to stop parenting everyone else and finally show up for yourself.
You don’t have to be strong today. Just be real.
Maybe you’re tired of carrying it all. Maybe you’re navigating family trauma, or your inner critic is the loudest voice in the room. You just have to stay with yourself while it happens
Liv Curiously Therapy is not a quick stop to fix you
We do not believe that you are broken
You are a resilient woman who did her best to survive a chaotic childhood.
You’ve come to the right place if this sounds familiar:
- You say things like, “I just want everyone in my family to be happy and get along. How do I make everyone feel happy?”
- You overthink social interactions because you’re afraid you might have said something wrong or sounded dramatic.
- You’re the first in your family to move out, graduate college, & start a career you feel proud of but you’re still feeling unseen and lonely.
- You tell yourself to not take up too much space, don’t talk too much, and hold back what you really think because you don’t want to cause any issues.
- You’re a first time mom trying to break generational cycles but are confused where to begin
- You have emotionally fragile parents who made it difficult for you to just be a kid growing up.
- You often doubt yourself because you feel you have to figure things out by yourself, like you had to growing up.
- You feel insecure in romantic relationships and have a hard time being honest with them because you don’t want to rock the boat.
Sounds like you? Let’s navigate this together.
Frequently Asked Questions
I’m usually the one listening to everyone else. Is this space really for me?
Absolutely. In fact, this space was built exactly for you.
If you grew up being the emotional anchor for your family or the 'therapist friend' in your group, it feels unnatural to turn the spotlight on yourself. You might even feel guilty for needing support when you’re used to being the 'strong one.'
But here is the truth: You don’t have to carry it all alone. In our sessions, you are allowed to set down the heavy load. You don’t have to manage anyone else’s emotions or worry about being 'too much.' For 50 minutes, you simply get to be supported.
What if I don’t know what to say? (Will it be awkward?)
This is more common than you think.
When you’ve spent so much time holding space for others, it can be hard to know where to begin when it’s finally your turn. You might worry about saying the wrong thing or not saying enough at all.
There is no pressure to have the right words here. You can start with “I don’t know” or sit in silence if that’s what feels right. We’ll move gently, at your pace, and let the conversation unfold naturally.
How does online therapy work? Is it as effective as in-person?
Online therapy meets you where you are. Literally and emotionally.
Sessions take place through a secure video platform, allowing you to join from a space where you feel safe and comfortable. Many clients find that being in their own environment helps them open up more easily.
Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person work. What truly matters is the relationship we build and the care, consistency, and intention we bring into each session.
How often do we meet, and for how long?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, especially at the start.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and gives you a dedicated, uninterrupted space to focus on yourself. As therapy progresses, we can adjust the frequency together based on your needs, goals, and capacity. This process is collaborative and always guided by what feels supportive for you.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I reserve select spots for insurance paying clients via Headway.
However, at the moment I do not have any availability for new insurance spots.
What is the cost of therapy?
A 50 minute virtual therapy session is $170.
I understand paying out of pocket for therapy is a huge financial commitment. I always encourage folks to reach out to me and schedule a consultation so we can discuss any questions you might have.
